On the unseasonably warm afternoon of Wednesday, April 28th 2021, a row of gleaming spades stood ready for the groundbreaking ceremony of Beaumont’s Campus-Wide Enhancement project. After two years of careful and painstaking planning, Beaumont’s Capital Development Committee Executive Group, Beaumont’s internal management team, and representatives of the Warfel Company gathered to officially kick off Phase 1 of the project.

The Warfel Company was selected as General Contractor because of their outstanding track record with other retirement communities (and Beaumont’s own aquatics and fitness center) and their ability to phase projects as to minimize disruptions to residents’ lives. Phase one will see the completion of the Austin and Baldwin apartment building exteriors, Phase two will focus on the Health Center, and Phase three will see the completion of all villas in the spring of 2023.

The two-year project will entail recladding all residential apartment buildings and villas on campus with high-tech, low-maintenance materials, which will visually unify them with the stone Mansion and other original structures. A short video presentation about the project by key members of the Capital Development Committee is available by clicking here.
