Are you an entrance fee community?
No, we are an equity ownership community in the form of a real estate
cooperative.
What is your meal plan?
Each individual receives 30 meals per month, and can use them for guests, friends and family.
Can I use long term care insurance at Beaumont?
Yes, after 183 days of no cost care, you will pay 50% of the per diem cost, which at this time runs approximately $4300 per month, and you can use your long term care for this expense, or you can pay out of pocket if you elect to cancel your long term care insurance policy.
Do you arrange trips and activities outside of Beaumont?
Yes. We have a full time Resident Services Director who plans activities at Beaumont and outside trips weekly, such as movies, the orchestra, New York Theatre, historical sites, baseball games, etc.
Are real estate taxes deductible since I own the property?
Yes, real estate taxes are deductible.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, however there is a leash law and pets must not be a nuisance to
neighbors.
How is Beaumont governed?
Beaumont is governed by the residents through a policy and procedure board elected by the residents called Beaumont Retirement Community, Inc. board. A second, subordinate board that provides all the services is called the Beaumont Retirement Services, Inc. board which has representation from the outside community as well as elected residents.
What is not included in the monthly fee?
The resident is responsible for telephone and internet service.
